Mine have to be Tarte and Elf

Tarte just didn’t work out for me I used to love Elf, but recently it’s just not been that great.

I got my first pat palette from TJ maxx! it smells kinda weird but it was totally untouched and heavily discounted. it’s very pigmented and works well! I agree the regular price isn’t worth the product. It’s overpriced for sure

It’s kinda difficult to describe. Kinda musty. Most pallets don’t have much of a smell. If you have the Too Faced fruit cake pallet, it smells like that lol. Musty, like weird chemical mixture. Like old moldy cookies. I haven’t had any adverse reactions on my skin though lol (fingers crossed)

I can’t think one of PMG thing I “reach” for. Like, OMG, I cannot go on vacay without ‘xyz’ - and she’s expensive!

Agreed. Other than the original Mothership palettes, her packaging is weak af! Everything is cardboard or that thin, brittle, cheap plastic.

Yeah I love her eyeshadows, but not her color stories. There’s always one or two colors that I absolutely love and a bunch that I know I’ll never use.

this! but it’s never all the good colors in one palette, noo, i have to blow $120 each on a bunch of palettes just to get a couple colors.

but i do it because those few colors are SO perfect

I got one of her palettes on sale for, like, $25 a while back and decided to try it. It’s nice, but definitely doesn’t justify the original price! My Colourpop and ELF work just as well lol.

Colourpop is such a good value for a really nice product. Their shadows remind me of Lancome back in the day when I worked for them.

I’ve used colourpop for yrs & am still surprised how many of my friends have never heard of them. Now that they’re in Ulta maybe that’ll get their name out even more. I need them to never go out of business bc it’s the best quality makeup for the price!! Their shadows, lippies & cream blushes are my favs!

I didn’t know they were in Ulta now! That’s great info. Such nice product and awesome value, I usually go for the eyeshadow palettes but I’m interested to try lip products without the hassle of shipping

Colourpop is such good value. My only beef with CP is their coarsely milled sparkle shadows which start flaking out of the pans during shipping and making a mess in the palette.

I found the same with pat McGrath shadows the glittery or special shadows are chunky and not smooth at all

I got a mini, and as it’s my only experience with PMG I won’t be having any others. All that hype for the patchiest eyeshadow in my bag.

I recently learned that she has two manufacturers: One in Italy and one in USA? Source - she talks about it right after the first swatches. So the formulations that people go bananas for are suppose to be the higher end ones from Italy and those are the $130 palettes. When she makes cheaper palettes, she also uses a “cheaper” (we’ll call this relative because her products are still expensive 😅) manufacturer it sounds like, which Patty says in the video doesn’t have the same payoff quality. The only way to check the manufacturer is to check on the back of the product itself.

i could never figure out why some people didn’t get the hype.

i don’t appreciate the colors they put in the palettes but i will defend their quality to the death. The mothership palettes are the most pigmented, easily blended, NEVER ANY FALLOUT (looking at you colourpop). I swear once you try mothership you never go back.

For me it’s not the price, it is the quality/shades that don’t work for me. I have their mothership palette and keep reaching more for my huda, nars, natasha denona and tom ford ones. PMG is way too glittery for me.

I do LOVE their under eye setting powder a lot.

I got one of her mini pallettes to dip my feet in her brand. I don’t think I will spend anymore $$. Definitely NOT worth the price.

I love the foundation and powder, but…not so impressed with customer service. I ordered the Mothership V and the Elson lipstick, but they didn’t come. I had to contact customer service, who did refund me, but they told me they were out of stock, with no re-stocking date.

They weren’t, they were just at a higher sales price point, then what they were offered at the time of my order.

I love what I got, but there was no communication about things missing from my order.

It’s made me hesitant to order from her again, because at these prices, we can certainly do better…

Plus, I’m not impressed with the packaging of the primer. Everything else is so yummy, then you get this plastic bottle, with the label already peeling off…I didn’t like that.
