I do toner and lotion. Then I do my hair first because I don’t want heat on my face after I do makeup. (I do hair last if I’m not blow drying.) I always do eye shadow first. Then foundation, concealer if needed, and finish with contouring and blush. Then eyeliner followed by mascara. And lastly, brush teeth and lipstick. Et voila. This is most logical to me. Though lately I just wear foundation and lipstick, but that’s a whole other thing that could be a post in itself.

My entire routine starts with: quick body shower, wash face in shower, put mask on, rinse off mask, brush teeth, put on moisturizer, do my hair, begin makeup.

Makeup routine: primer, foundation, concealer on the peaks, contour in the valleys, powder blush, eyebrows, eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, highlight powder, setting spray, mascara, then finally lipstick if I so choose.

I used to use setting powder, which I would apply just before highlighter, but yesterday I finally took a leap of faith and went without it and the world didn’t end. My makeup looks so much better without it, and my liquid foundation doesn’t transfer without it, which is why I thought I needed to use setting powder in the first place. I did it, guys!
