I do toner and lotion. Then I do my hair first because I don’t want heat on my face after I do makeup. (I do hair last if I’m not blow drying.) I always do eye shadow first. Then foundation, concealer if needed, and finish with contouring and blush. Then eyeliner followed by mascara. And lastly, brush teeth and lipstick. Et voila. This is most logical to me. Though lately I just wear foundation and lipstick, but that’s a whole other thing that could be a post in itself.

I learned to do my makeup in the 00’s so I probably do it differently (and possibly wrong) compared how it’s done these days. For me it’s:

    • shower and wash face, apply serums, moisturiser, sunscreen and SPF lip balm

    • straighten hair (if I’m straightening it)

    • another layer of sunscreen (I live in Australia so I have to be diligent with this even in winter), and then I let it set for 5-10 minutes

    • foundation. In summer I will normally add setting power over my foundation but I don’t bother in winter

    • eye shadow and/or liner (sometimes I skip this step)

    • mascara

    • blush OR bronzer depending on my look (I rarely use both)

    • style hair (no heat)

    • lipstick 💄

    Aaaaand I’m done.
