Basically the title. Zenith makes some pretty stellar and innovative watches imo. I also love their history and style. However, the brand recognition outside of watch lovers is pretty dismal. And while I generally buy watches for me, I do want the watches I buy (particularly those I’m paying $5k-10k for) to have some brand recognition among the public. What happened with Zenith in this respect? Or am I giving the public too little credit?

if an issue did arise it could take 9-12 months to get the watch back

that’s just blatant misinformation, and clearly this dealer has some ulterior motive for talking trash on zenith. zenith is a part of LVMH and their customer support all run on the same system - regardless of whether you have a tag heuer, hublot, zenith, etc. you will be issued an AFS number.

i know this from experience, as i’ve had both my tag and zenith watches serviced for a fair price, with a typical turnaround time for a luxury watch.

      Yes and no.

Zenith shares the same system with other LVMH brands but that means ziltch as far as actual service and parts availability.

Zenith forums on WUS etc. are filled with complaints about poor Zenith customer support.

I figured as much. And this was just one salesperson at one dealer, and maybe they were just not as well versed on zenith so didn’t try to sell me harder on it.
