I have multiple pairs that I need to clean but I don’t know the best way to clean them. Can I just throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry or is there a better way?

I just use a tooth brush and soapy water. Dish soap is fine

Edit: I think I put a couple of sprays of laundry spot remover in the little bowl of water too

Sneaker cleaners like crep protect, jason mark etc. You can usually buy a kit with a brush and a cleaning liquid. I personally only machine wash the ones I don’t care about anymore.

If they are canvas only, no suede, I just remove the insoles and throw them in the washer and let them air dry.

If they have suede, I use a suede safe foaming shoe cleaning product, brand doesn’t really matter. Test on inconspicuous spot first to make sure it’s color fast, like underside of tongue. I use a soft nylon brush, brush in circular motions with the foaming stuff, don’t use more than you need. Dab off extra cleaner with a clean microfiber cloth. Allow to dry overnight. Use something like mink oil to help waterproof and condition.

If you just want them clean and don’t really care about wear and tear , washing machine. If you are trying to keep them pristine. Toothbrush water soap. It honestly depends on you.
