Have had a pair of high tops for 4 years now and worn roughly but casual like daily beaters. Smooth leather definitely ages better than fabric tho

There is a pair in my garage that I bought 15 years ago. Still totally wearable. Pairs I wear all the time, 2 or 3 years. Don’t skate anymore.

Idk, my vans have been poor quality lately. But you’ll get a couple years out of them at least. Just make sure to buy them from a Vans store cause some of the other stores sell cheaper versions. Also if you get the “pro skate” ones they’ll be more comfortable.

If I wear Era or Authentic and walk every day, I find I need to replace them every 6 months. More casually used ones last for years in my experience.

I had a pair of Mid 106 last me for 8 years as work and casual shoes. They’d still be on my feet but I went through a depressive phase of throwing out everything. If you can find a pair of those buy them. The real ones, not those knock-offs from Amazon. Of all the common Vans styles I’ve worn Sk8-Hi Pro lasted the longest. 2 1/2 years of being a casual shoe before falling apart

My Wards are pretty beat. You’ll probably wear through the sole before the upper. I have some small holes in the upper, no big deal. I’ve had these for a year now, I mountain bike and walk in them, and beat them relentlessly. You’ll prob get a good 2-3+ years from just normal use. These prob still got a good year, plus, left in them before they really start balding. They don’t even look *that* bad. I intend to beat these to the ground!
