Hi y’all, I am not sure if I’m just overwhelmed with the amount of makeup I have or if I’m just not comfortable doing it at my vanity anymore? Do you guys do yours in the bathroom? Carry a bag through out the house? Do you have a lot of makeup in one spot? Do you bring your stuff to work and do it when you get there?

I guess I’m asking what works best for you?

I have my makeup in a little wheelie cart that I wheel to my kitchen table when I wanna do it. Mind you I only do my makeup a handful of times per month.

Current one I’m using is from Canadian Tire. Basically just look for rolling storage tower and it’ll surely be something similar.

I have a desk that has since turned into a sort of vanity that I have in the spare room, all my makeup sits there.

If I do it anywhere else it stresses me out.

I didn’t realize this was a thing, I thought it was just me! I move to the room with the best light depending on time of year and sit on the floor.

Same. Everybody’s room is my getting ready room depending on the time of day and where the sun is

Floor forever. I just bring what I need from the drawers to the floor. It’s a lot of back and forth to the washroom to wash my hands too, but I just can’t give up the floor. I’ve had vanities and all that jazz, but the floor hits different.

Near my closet, there’s a built in vanity counter. I do my makeup there. I have a large mirror but I have a desktop mirror for precision.

Before having a home with a vanity, I did my makeup in a spare bedroom used as an office. I’ve tried to do my makeup in a bathroom but it doesn’t work for me.

I made my own vanity (less impressive than it sounds if you saw it haha) hung an old dresser mirror on the wall and mounted an LED vanity light above the mirror. The stool I sit on has storage for all my back stock and infrequently used products. In my dream world, I’d have a bigger space with drawers and stuff by some natural light, but since I bought a house that I plan to stay in until retirement, this is a pretty good compromise.

I considered a vanity but I’m most comfortable doing my makeup while sitting on my bed with a handheld mirror. I have the majority of my products in drawers and pick a makeup basket every week or two for what I want to use. It helps me rotate my products, avoids decision fatigue and keeps me efficient as I don’t have to spend time choosing.

I have all my makeup stored in organized drawers and have a large mirror and small magnifying mirror on the vanity. I use the small mirror because I can’t see far lol.

I’d love to be that organised but, even if I had drawers and stands and all the things people have mentioned, my make up would still be all over the house.

I bought a little light up vanity mirror to try to stop doing it standing in the bathroom but I just couldn’t get into it. I always do it in the bathroom mirror. I have a little basket with all the products that I’m trying to use that week (I have an extensive collection) and just bring that in with me.

I do mine in the bathroom, simply because I use my fingers for some steps and end up washing my hands a few times during the process. I also have a window right next to the sink, so I can see the makeup in natural light while I work.

I end up doing it in two bathrooms and my husbands dressing room- totally ridiculous! Just a series of bags in different places and the funny thing is I hardly wear any makeup!!😂🤣

Same here. In the bathroom because of my big windows and sink.I also need a mirror to get up close to because I’m blind without my glasses.

In the bathroom in front of a mirror. I have a hard sided caddy I keep on the counter with my dailies. I have extras in the bathroom drawers and boxes of makeup and self care stuff in the room that is basically my closet.

I do my makeup in my bathroom. I have a small cabinet that’s next to my sink and I have a lot of various organizers in my bathroom. I keep my go tos out in my organizers or in the cabinet. I also have makeup bags and a large makeup case that I keep stuff I dont reach for daily. I keep my backups or overflow on shelfing in a different room. I have a good amount of stuff, but that also includes all my hair and skincare.

I like the acrylic lazy susans the best for organization.
