What is the difference between CYL and GMK?
CYL is the profile made by GMK.
GMK currently produces two profiles - CYL and MTNU.
To add on, why did the naming change from GMK to CYL?
GMK introduced a new profile (MTNU) and now needs to differentiate between it and their usual cherry profile offerings. Instead of just calling it Cherry profile, they settled on CYL, meaning cylindrical, in reference to the shape of the face of the keycap.
