Perhaps instead of plugging in into dock’s front run it straight to the back of the desk and plug it to back of the dock.

Can you not just run the cable direct to the back of the PC instead of that hub, so it’s not all coiled up on the desk like that? Maybe just run it past the hub, let if fall behind the desk, then route it back up again? Seems a shame to buy a new cable when better cable management could probably solve the issue.
