I’m looking for winter shoes that will keep you warm and dry, but also look more like regular shoes than boots. So I came across the Vans MTE series and googled a little and it seems like that MTE-2 are better that 1, and 3 are better than 2. But is it that simple? Some people said that the 1s are good for big colder and rainy days, the 2s are an upgraded version (but both versions are for like all seasons) and the 3s are then for more harsh conditions. But I’m thinking ok, the Ultrarange EXO HI MTE-2 cost 165€ only 20€ more and you get the GORE-TEX SK8 HI MTE-3 are they worth 20€ more, how are they better than the MTE-2. Or the GORE-TECH AMZN MTE-3 cost 240€ but are on sale for 160€, so the same price as the MTE-2, so should I just get these then? I feel like just from the online description about these shoes I don’t get very far, because they through technical terms at you like: „3M Thinsulate Isolation“ which means nothing so me. So I was really hoping if you guys cloud help me out and have some advice?
