Now that I’m getting older I can’t do foundation. I’ll use a tinted moisturizer or just a hydrating concealer over red spots. I recently discovered the cream skin tint from Makeup by Mario and this may end up a game changer. Think of that look you get when you mix a couple drops of bronzer into your foundation to get an idea of the color, but it goes on like a sheer moisturizer.
After that I keep it simple. A very light blush, eyeliner, lip gloss.
The old Ultima II. I felt so chic wearing those neutrals and honestly have a hard time now finding stuff as flattering.
Origins Pinch Your Cheeks blush, best all around for the hottest weather. That and Bonne Bell gel blush, Face Gloss and the Good Nature Glow line.
Several Benefit products—Beauty 911 and Fine One One, both multiuse products. New York Minute loose powder, a gorgeous rose gold bronzer. Their powder all-over color, I don’t remember the name but it came with a fan brush.
Sephora in Dubai is kinda fun because things sometimes have to be renamed to sell over there. Nars Orgasm is just called O, and Better Than Sex mascara is called Better Than Love.
Really disappointed in Tower 28. I get the whole clean thing and I know the shelf life on clean beauty is bad but these guys especially suck.
Wet N Wild has a palette called Walking On Eggshells. The shades are all cool-leaning neutrals. This is one of the rare shadows I will wear as they apply and blend really well, wear for hours, and don’t make me look like a clown.
I like Pillow Talk Medium but after that…meh. I really wanted to love Flawless Filter but even the lightest shades pull too orange on me.
I often use L’Oréal Lumi Glotion as a base either mixed with tinted moisturizer or DE D-Bronzi, or by itself. It does not make your face look like a disco ball, just giving a boost of radiance. Revlon Face Gloss is great too, if you don’t mind a rose scent.
I’ll use a deep brown eyeliner, tightlining if I want to keep it really natural looking.
Also I recently discovered Makeup By Mario and their skin tint compact is amazing. It gives just the slightest bronzing effect and you’d never know it was makeup. It’s close to perfect.
