Brand, style, and heel height are all going to matter. So you may find you have more room and a round toe or almond toe or like more of a sandal. And therefore you might have to go down and have size. But the bottom line is pretty much just have to try on every shoe you wear to make sure it’s okay.

I like the idea of properly measuring your foot. Make sure you don’t have a wide foot. Which is fine if you do because there are wide with shoes available. Which is rule that out as an issue.

With any kind of shoe I recommend either trying them on in a store or if you’re ordering online make sure it’s a website that has free returns. And that way you can try them on and maybe walk around on them on carpet before deciding to keep them.

Going to add this. Even within the same brand sometimes different shoes will fit differently. So even if you find a pair and they’re perfect and you think you’ll just order some more from that brand, you still need to plan on trying them on and making sure they fit before you keep them.

One more thing. For shoes you already own you can get these inserts from Dr Scholl’s to go under the ball of your foot. They’re kind of round and 2 in by 2 in. Really their purpose is to provide you a little extra cushion. But what they also do is they actually push your foot back a little bit. So if you already own a pair of shoes that are slipping you could try putting these in there and they may tighten up the fit a little bit.

Trotters, Easy Street, Propet are some brands to look at that offer wide sizes.

Payless used to but I’m not sure what they’ve done since they were bankrupt and come back as a website. Typically the shoes that Payless carries are cheap and that’s both price and quality. It’s not that they’re poor quality for the price. But they’re never going to be real leather so keep that in mind.

Here’s a few websites that sometimes carry wide or extra wide women’s dress shoes.

Check out One stop Plus or woman within.

    Massey’s Stoneberry

    Torrid

    Lane Bryant

And the department stores like belk, macy’s, Nordstrom carry a lot more white sizes than they once did. If you want to search their websites. If there’s a Nordstrom rack near you you might consider just going to see what they have.

Within the same brand but between two different models I wear two different sizes. So that’s how much shoes can vary. I agree with the other person saying you’ll just have to try on shoes. I often times order shoes and two different sizes and I’ll wear them around my house and figure out which ones I need to keep.

And keep in mind that not every shoe is going to fit you. They’re just built differently from each other. Again, within the same brand there will be models I can wear and models I can’t wear. And then there are some brands that probably just don’t offer a shoe they really fits me.

  • Search non-skid or non-slip soled shoes. They make a lot. I’m not sure what’s available to ship to Singapore. They often come in black since they’re more uniform focused.

The downside is I’ve never had any there as comfortable as New Balance tennis shoes. But I really haven’t looked to see if there’s more of a black sneaker type of shoe available. So there might be. But they’re certainly will be black shoes available.

And these soles work really well. They are designed for kitchens and also mechanics working on greasy floors.

You may look at restaurant supply websites.

This was only in the US that I’m aware of, but Payless shoes used to sell them online too.
