If you want to buy her an expensive mascara, buy her Chantecaille Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara. It’s VERY expensive, but worth it. MAC mascara is just meh. Jeffree Star cosmetics has some great skin care (the Wyoming Winter line is amazeballs). More affordable: ELF lip oils (I’m obsessed). Oh hey-Jeffree Star Cosmetics is currently having a 3/6/9$ sale on popular items! I find Huda hit or miss on their products. ElizaVecca has some awesome skincare items and the packaging is to die for! Very affordable-check Amazon. MAC is great for eyeshadows, foundation, powder, lippies-but I avoid their mascaras. They don’t perform like other lines do.
Shiseido and Chanel have some great skincare-BUTTTTTTT-Chanel can be too heavy for younger skin. Both are very pricey. Chanel makes some amazing lipsticks!
Ridiculously expensive, break your wallet skincare: La Prairie.
If it were me, I’d probably spring for the Chantecaille mascara, a Chanel lippie, and a few of the Jeffree Star cosmetic items. The mascara for the sheer fooking performance, the Chanel for the swag, and the JSC for the quality/packaging (not to mention the sale!).
After every use. I use pretty strong colors.
If you have oily skin: rice paper blotting sheets were sent to Earth by angels. They absorb all the nasty without disturbing your foundation.

The ‘stick it in your bra’ method?
I love BB and CC creams-I set mine with loose powder and it stays just fine. If you have oily skin, you may need to use a face primer before the cream-Benefit POREfessional Face Primer (I have an oily T-zone and enormous pores). They also have a hydrating one if your skin is dry. For drugstore, Maybelline Baby Skin primer is pretty awesome! The great thing about both of these is you can wear it alone, too. A setting spray can also help-my favorite is Urban Decay All Nighter.
Filling in my eyebrows. It just makes me look angry.
Contour-it just looks like dirt on my face?
Blush-I’m already cursed with red tones in my skin. Blush makes it worse (even on top of cc cream/powder foundation.)
L’Oréal Paris Makeup Infallible Flash Cat Eye Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.
I can’t do strip lashes-can’t get the corners to stick! A combo of watery eyes/hooded eyes make strip lashes nearly impossible for me. I DO, however, like the individual cluster lashes, and NikkiLash Badass One glue. The glue is not ‘fumey’ and not irritating at all! Understand that you won’t whip these off at night; they will last around 7-10 days before you need to start filling in the ones you lost. You also need to take extra care-don’t let your shower pummel directly onto your lashes, be careful with skin care products near them, brush them once a day with a clean spoolie, use lash shampoo to clean them, etc.
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the DIY lash extensions, but you apply these UNDER your natural lashes, instead of on top. I like to use a mixture of black, blue, and purple for the mermaid lash look-it makes my green eyes pop. There is also a great lash removal cream on Amazon if you want/need to remove this type. It’s called Lashview cream eyelash remover. It’s non-irritating and works GREAT for dissolving the glue without harming your own lashes.
If it’s bubbling, fizzing, or crawling out of its pan, then I throw it away.
Otherwise-it stays in the collection.
