Hamilton khaki field, bought and sold twice now. Theres just better field watches and the swatch group has taken all the fun out of the brand.
The multifort TV big date is probably the only model of theirs that feels unique or well thought. I personally think the rest of their catalog just looks like fashion brand or “industry trend average” designs. The swtach group also stuffing the powermatic 80 derivatives in all of their models makes their near $1k price seem fishy.
To me, they’re just a swatch group sub brand with mostly bland design. There is no character or defining design language there.
On the cheap end, I have to recommend the Casio Oceanus S100 model. Radio controlled, solar, and titanium. For less than $500, i don’t know a better watch.
Casio duro, gshock GW-5000, or new to the collection Islander range master.
Given Alfa’s history, the casio may outlast the car.
My SKX runs +/-3 seconds while my 2 seiko divers are all over the place, Kinda stopped caring since I don’t wear them every day.
