  • I’m a daily lash wearer now. I think it probably took me years to figure it out but these are some odd things that made a difference for me:

    • The adhesive they use to stick the lashes to the package is EXTREMELY irritating and makes the lashes too stiff. It’s not the same as lash glue! I try to remove as much as possible with makeup remover, hot soapy water or just peeling it off with tweezers.

    • Absolutely no off-brand cheap bulk lashes from Amazon or hair shops. The factory glue problem I mentioned is far worse with cheap lashes. I like Kiss, Ardell and Eyelure lashes from the drugstore. Spend the extra couple dollars since it’s going to stick to your eyelids.

    • It helps to loosen up the lash band a bit by wrapping it around a makeup brush or pinching it with your fingers. I also curl the strip lashes with my eyelash curler before applying them.

    • I trim the lash band down to where they stop at the inner edge of my iris. If they go too far into the inner corner, I find my eyes are more likely to water. Alternatively, try out the Demi Wispie type lashes (they’re pre-trimmed!)

    • I apply the lashes holding them with tweezers looking down at a hand mirror rather than trying to look straight ahead.

    • Allow the lash glue to get “tacky” (30-60 seconds) before trying to stick em on

    • I like classic dark Duo glue but if you still have issues with irritation, Kiss makes an excellent sensitive formula glue! Look for the formaldehyde free formula.

I hope all of my many trials and errors help you!!
