  • I really wanted to like Fenty but all the products have been lacklustre. The Eaze Drop foundation oxidised SO badly and made my oily skin dry and scaly. I liked the contour in Amber because it was the only cool-toned contour I could previously find on the market but it’s ridiculously hard to blend and looks patchy af, clings to any bit of previously invisible dry skin that might be on your face; the ELF putty bronzer in Feelin’ Shady and various Korean powder contours have all outperformed Fenty in my experience. All for a much lower price point. The lip products are okay I guess. They work, they’re nice, but I’m not awestruck and none of them are in my regular makeup bag.

  • Fenty Eaze Drop. Oxidised SO orange (I had 6, supposedly a cool toned shade) and clung to dry patches. Dior lip oil; got this as a gift and I really don’t see the hype. It’s just a mediocre gloss, but perhaps I just don’t like most lip glosses. Violette_FR Petal Bouche; Nice colour but the formula is awful. I’ve never seen a lipstick that pills, like cheap sun cream with way too much silicone. Gritty, smeary, messy to apply, the brand claims it’s kiss proof which I’m certain is meant to be a practical joke on the people who bought it and their significant others. The NARS soft matte pressed powder did literally nothing for my skin and if anything made it oilier, and mixed with melting foundation in the grossest way. Also I’ve not been a fan of most primers. At their best they had 0 effect, didn’t prolong makeup wear or make my skin look nicer, at their worst they mixed with whatever I put on top really badly as the day wore on (even if I let each layer properly dry and settle before applying the next product, and even if the primer and foundation were from the same brand*).

*the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser also sucks. Used it with their pore blurring primer and on its own. Patchy and oily yet clung to dry patches, and pilled no matter what I used with it.
