I wear sunscreen year round but everything I have at the moment makes my foundation pill, even if I let it sit for 30 minutes. I’d love some good suggestions to try. (My skin is combo but in the winter I can handle a dewy/glowy sunscreen.)
EltaMD UV Daily Broad Spectrum Untinted SPF 40 works great under makeup. It also functions as a moisturizer, but if you give it about 3-5 minutes to soak in, it kind of disappears into the skin and makes a nice base if I choose to wear any foundation.

A lot of Asian sunscreens seem to play well with makeup. My favorites are Biore Aqua Rich, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid, and Beauty of Joseon.
I’ve had good luck with cosrx 50 sunscreen and silicon based foundations
Haruharu wonder sunscreen in the yellow tube is what I use. Under $13 usually and isn’t too greasy.
Canmake in the pink tube. Works with all of my foundations. I get it from Yes Style.
My personal favorite during the winter is Vichy capital soleil. Great for under makeup.

Pilling could be bcos of water based vs silicon based. You could check your products.
Aveno SPF 15 daily moisturizer with soy.
