Curious to know if there are any shades in palettes which you never seem to touch! Mine are definitely gold shades, any type of gold or light bronze shades are not my cup of tea and almost every palette I own has some form of a gold! My favorite colors are definitely dark shimmery browns and light shimmery highlight shades, and also a cream toned matte shade!

Nudes, cool browns, mauve shades. Purples and olive greens. Terracotta orange. Nothing too bright

I very rarely use the blacks. I have some gorgeous slates and deep browns if I need to deepen a colour. But black always seems to look very unpolished on me.

I almost always use white and pale nude shades, even with more colorful looks. Aside from those I’m using silvers, light blues, and light purples often recently.

I never use green or black shades - I don’t think that green suits me, and I can never get black to not look too harsh.

Someone told me when I was young and just starting makeup not to wear pinks, reds, or mauves because they’ll make me look like I was crying. It’s totally not true, but I find myself avoiding them anyway. I love a good dark purple or lilac though…

I never use silver shadows or pale nude/whites- Doesn’t suit me.

I look for specific dark chocolate browns. Browns with chestnut, cool tones, warm tones. A good dark brown shadow can complete a whole look.

I avoid cool tones shadows, purples, blues, etc. love me the golds, browns, warm nudes and pinks. I’m a ghostly pale ginger and any cool toned shades make me look ill, or like a clown

You hit the nail on the head! I’m a pale ginger and could never figure out why people recommend cool tones to light skinned people. It just makes the rest of my face feel super red, and my eyes look clownish.

The only colors that I’d add are orange and red. They just make my blue eyes pop so much. The 2010’s “sunset” look, with yellows, oranges, and deep reds just play so well with my hair and skin.

I love the oranges for more summery looks! They’re so good with the blue eyes, especially if I’m wearing green! 🙌🏻

That’s so interesting, I’m also a ghostly pale ginger and I look sick in orange - it has to be cool toned and dark or vibrant color, esp grey, purple and blue for me

Bingo! Taupes, lavender, grey all great on me- bronze, pinks, or browns? I will spend the day explaining to people that- yes, I feel fine, I just made a bad eyeshadow choice that morning.😁

I can rock peach blush, though.

Brown, although I finally began using it for drawing eyebrows.

The rest is quite fine except some shades of orange that make me look like a zombie.

I always go for cooler toned neutral leaning shades. Taupes, greys, mauves, light browns, pinks, champagnes, silvers

I avoid pretty much anything warm toned unless it happens to go really well with my outfit

Anything that is that very light tan or white blending/transition shades. I don’t like the silvery shades because they don’t look good either. I have no use for a black because I’m not a smoky eye person and use liquid eyeliner.

Give me all the browns and warm toned shimmers. It’s easy for me to pass up palettes because I can tell they weren’t made for people that look like me.

I hate glittery shades. Oranges and golds are my no no. It looks really fake on me. I don’t like the burgundy shades. I prefer matte shades that are lilac, mauve, light tans, dark browns. I prefer a more natural look.
