I recently saw there are 34 million monthly active users on StockX but there have only been about 6-7 million users who have actually bought in the lifetime of the app. That means only about 17% of users who browse actually buy . That means 83% don’t make any transactions. So the real question is for those who haven’t bought from there why ? Are some shoes getting too expensive or not affordable for many ?

i buy from stockx, goat, and ebay. i usually make my decisions based off which has the best price after fees. never had any issues with stockx, but ebay is my first choice because they protect their buyers more than goat and stockx.

My guess would be the “active user” # is so high bc StockX is the easiest place to check approximate current resale value. I’ll check StockX to see what’s the price of a shoe is then look to buy it on eBay with a better idea of how low I think I can haggle.

Not usually. They never have what I want…the sole time I did it was because they had the lowest price anywhere for the shoe I wanted.

The prices are always more than what stuff goes for on eBay or Facebook. Stockx is the absolute peak pricing for any shoe.

I have. Had no issues with any purchases. That being said, in most cases, active user/customer base is a fraction of total user/customer. It costs nothing to register an account. Transactions still cost money.
For example, I have an Amazon Wishlist. I’ve bought maybe one thing on it in the decade plus I’ve had my account. 99% of the time I use it to earmark things I can come back to look at later. I don’t necessarily have any inherent interest in purchasing what I put on it.

I use the usual two other platforms but I’ll use StockX if the final price ends up being lower than the other two or if I can’t find any listings.

I have before and I will again, never had any trouble with them at all. When there’s something specific I want I compare total prices between StockX, Goat and eBay and go with who ever’s the cheapest.

They’re assholes. They have terrible customer service. I’ve sold a couple things there & they quite literally stole a shoebox from me a couple years ago. It sounds insane, but they claimed I sent the shoes only. I hadn’t. I always video packaging & drop off. I’ve bought a couple things before I knew better. I won’t use them now.

Haven’t touched the app in years but I sent brand new pants over that I figured I’d get rid of that way rather than returning to make like $5 and keep my cashback. Either the verifier or some other employee must’ve been eating and greased them up and they charged me $15 saying they were soiled but there was literally no way.

And then I couldn’t return or let them go elsewhere because they stained them and the store wasn’t gonna take em like that. I found their social media guy online and told him to credit me for the pants, which they didn’t but I got my $15 fee back at least. They some snakes at StockX

Only used them once since they had a pair I wanted in my size and nowhere else did. I mainly use stockx to get the SKU of shoes
