My daughter in law is 20. She wears full face dramatic make-up to work everyday, it’s part of her job description to do this and it takes her 2 hours on a good day (she’s a piercer and she makes ticks and tocks for her channel) when I say full face I mean eyelashes for days with gems on them, gems stuck around her eyes, and bright bright colours. She’s lived with me for 4 years so I know she hasn’t got anything expensive so I would live to treat her to something that will make her daily getting ready routine a bit more fun and exciting. Are there any make-up things I could get to help her do this? I got her a morphe pallet one year but I was wondering g if there’s make-up pens with bright colour for her eye drawings or something? We are in Australia if that helps Thankyou

Cliondah is another indie company that is known for vibrant multi chromes. They aren’t the cheapest but if you know of a specific color she loves it’s highly pigmented. Someone else mentioned oden’s eye which is also beautiful. Jolie beauty has some very themed eyeshadow palettes in wild colors as well as blend bunny. Best of luck! I’m sure she will love whatever you pick. :)

There is a Australian indie brand called Glaminatrix that does wonderfully sparkly eyeshadows as well as matte eyeshadows.

Hope you find something lovely for your daughter-in-law!

I would opt for a nice little skin care set, or tool like a facial steamer or reusable makeup cloths and maybe a fluffy spa headband. Full face of makeup and adhesive for gems and lashes can be a lot on the skin when done daily.

TooFaced, rem beauty, Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty, and Dior are my favorite luxury brands. I highly recommend the eyeshadows from TooFaced, rem, and Huda. Fenty has a REALLY good mascara called the Hella Thicc volumizing mascara, it looks especially good if your lashes are already long. Dior has super pretty lipsticks, and their blushes and highlighters are very popular too. I also suggest getting her the manga collection highlighter from Rude, it’s the most bright and gorgeous highlighter I’ve ever seen.

Glamlite isn’t higher end like the other brands I mentioned, but they have SUPER pigmented eyeshadows palettes. My favorites are from the Hershey collection and Barbie Dream Summer palette

Nikkia Joy is an Australian YouTuber who started her own makeup brand! She makes the best sponge and setting powder I have ever used. Ever. Beauty Blender could never. Her powder is best for oily skin, and I have the fragranced version, which is heavily scented. It’s never made me break out, but the scent is intense. I think she makes a non-scented version. She also has really bright and interesting pigments in different finishes and beautiful lashes. I live in Canada, and her shipping has always been very fast!!

There’s a Pat MCGrath mothership palette, Celestial Nirvana, that people have found at Marshall’s for a great price. I have it, it has gorgeous bright colors and more muted. She would love it! Also Colourpop is great, I got a liner set with 10 or 12 different colors, I think it was 50% off. I love their palettes, so many to chose from!

Everyone here has made some wonderful suggestions so I won’t add to it to much! I’m Australian, I know Nyx stocks colourful eyeliners at Priceline if you’re interested in that! I’ve seen good reviews online for Natasha Denona’s palettes or Huda Beauty which you can get at Sephora buuuut they can get expensive so that may not be in your budget. Sephora has a few other eyeshadow palettes though!

I would maybe also ask r/AustralianMakeup reddit! It’s a much smaller community but they might have ideas for Australia specific available brands. Good luck! You sound like a lovely in law!

If she likes drawing patterns with her eyeliner (graphic liner), maybe try getting her some water activated liners from Glisten Cosmetics? You can order a palette with separate colours that are popped in. It’s much easier to draw and do intricate patterns with water activated liners than with pencil eyeliners.
