Oh I should of said I’m being over dramatic it was painful but it’s wasn’t tragic haha sorry for hyperbole

I almost went blind from sweating my eyebrow gel and mascara into my eyes, I don’t know how people do work out with it hahah
if I have a job (particularly an office one or when I worked as a waitress) that requires me to wear it I hate it! I did learn a quick routine for applying tho and it’s helped me. I feel there’s too many steps in todays “trends”- you’re not alone!
I’d say find a few looks you like on Pinterest and go from there. Drugstore makeup is so good these days you can’t go wrong starting off! Before buying products I’d think about the coverage and look you want but if you have acne, full coverage foundation is a good start because you can use a tiny amount and build up, also won’t need concealer underneath!
Benefit, porefessional
I’m a makeup artist and make up has been a huge part of my life. I HATE wearing it lol. I love applying, love altering my look, but the texture on my face makes me feel smothered
Embroyilisse lait-crème concentrè, it’s an all rounder but super hydrating, it’s feels a little greasy until it’s settled and then it’s fab, if you want more a dewy makeup look, then get a strobe cream for on top of the moisturiser
I think it’s a mix of both! So most people in my class had no interest in film or theatre makeup, but wanted the full qualification. I went to school peak influencer era. They just wanted to do glam looks, and be recognised on instagram for their talents. Obviously to be taken seriously in the industry, if you want to do run ways or work on a shoot, you’ll need to have respect for film, tv and theatre and even experience in that industry because it’s hardcore. Long hours, most of the time a trainee is there to grab products and coffee and clean towel, not pick up a brush for a long time. And as we know the film industry is toxic, so they want someone mature ready to take shit all day long. If someone’s wants to be an influencer that’s good enough to me, it’s the toxicity of it that bothered me!
It will fade! If you don’t like it though, plenty of oil based products and scrubbing will help the fade. Just don’t scrub too hard you pull your brows out
Yes!! When I went to college for makeup artistry, most people there were training to be an influencer. It bothered me so much, especially during the special effects lessons because no one was willing to be a model for crazy looks. No one was in it for the love of makeup, and I know the industry is suffering because of it (film and media makeup).
I think the love for makeup YouTubers is slowly dying. Even the OG ones all got caught up in some drama and it’s like, you’re just supposed to do makeup was is Laura Lee sobbing on camera? And James Charles who stole others ideas and continues to abuse his fame. I can go on about this all day! I think the younger gen is more interested in skin care funny enough.
Interesting I never knew, I’ve never used a colourpop product. Is this from day one?
Kylie cosmetics, I spent a fortune on her first released lips and eyeshadow pallet. They were so bad I don’t care if they are better now!
I feel all of Mac has warm undertones these days :( but if they were told they were cool toned, they would of been sold the c shade range
I’d make sure you were colour matched correctly, looking at your veins and seeing if they are blue or green is a good way of knowing if your cool or neutral. I thought I was cool toned but I’m actually neutral, really pale too and velvet teddy is dark brown on me too. Going for nude pinks have helped me find a good nude color but I love pinks. What’s the look you’re going for if you don’t mind me asking?
Most products that are “cruelty free” are that way because their formula was tested under a different name or product
Funny enough I find water proof mascara to burn more when it gets in my eyes!
