Juvia’s place makes a lilac liquid lipstick. Liquid lipsticks work awesome as cheek products and work well on the eyes as well.

I heard from a makeup artist that as we get older we get paler and lose contrast. Personally I think powder applied with the ELF kabushi brush (non retractable) is the fastest way to get ready in the morning but you might prefer a liquid. I don’t think there’s any advice we can give that will best going to a cosmetics counter and asking for a shade match honestly.
I only wear tinted lip balms. If you like Burt’s Bees their tinted lip balms are really nice.
I liked their mascara and Boy Brow and their concealer is great for dry skin. The mascara is super natural in a way a lot of people will find pointless. It’s a bummer how the packaging graphics get rubbed off easily on the boy brow but the product is good and I’ve not found a good dupe for it yet, everything people claim is a dupe isn’t a dupe at all just for not getting the color right. The concealer is dewy which works since my skin is dry from tretinoin but will be too wet for a lot of people.
Nothing else they make interests me.
Moisturize your skin before hand, don’t use too much and accept that it isn’t going to look perfect. I don’t want to say concealer is a scam but I do feel like people have unrealistic expectations. It’s totally normal for young people who haven’t the slightest of wrinkles to still have lines and folds underneath their eyes and simply being a normal, happy person that smiles and emotes with their eyes and mouth is going to cause movement in the skin that can affect the look of the concealer.
I like the Glossier Stretch Concealer, it’s especially nice for dry skin.
Makeup Forever’s powder foundation is fantastic. The Sephora girl sold me on it when I asked for something sheer and matte, she was wearing it herself and it looked really nice on her. They formulate their makeup to film and photograph well so it doesn’t look like ‘makeup’ at 4k or on a theater screen. Looks really good. It’s medium coverage but I apply it sheerly.
Blush is very forgiving, most will end up looking about the same once applied and sheered out on the skin especially when applied with a light hand. So owning a ton of blush is pretty pointless especially if you own cream and liquid lipsticks since they can double duty as blush.
Try powder foundation with a stipple brush, it’s what I do for sheer matte coverage.
I disagree. The competition is so fierce compared to what it used to be, people used to tolerate significantly worse makeup because they had no choice. Overall though I think you can find more consistent quality within pro brands. Makeup Forever is a ‘prosumer’ brand that is easily accessible. You can look into Ben Nye, Kryolan, maqpro and Rcma.
I’ve never been drawn to their products at all but my friend does a full face with their products and it looks amazing on her. Before I found out I had no good will towards the brand.
I’ve consistently had better luck with Asian brands. Black is the most common hair color in the planet and the majority of Asian clientele have black eyebrow hairs so if you can’t formulate good brow cosmetics for black eyebrows you simply do not stay in business. Shu Uemera hard brow pencil in seal brown and soft grey should work for most people with black hair and Tony Moly designing eyebrow grey pencil is also good.
I’ve used Ben Nye for costume and stage looks, it’s a good brand and should be safe for the eyes.
Yeah I used to do that and it works
