Even if you haven’t tried every single product from that brand, are you convinced there’s nothing good they sell?

All the Revolution things. I have an eyeshadow palette which is not pigmented at all. I also tried a concealer and it was awful on me.

I felt the same but then heard people raving about their cream bronzer so I got that to try and actually really love it! But that’s the only thing 😂

Revolution Ultra Cream Bronzer. I got it in the shade Light and it actually works well for my very fair, very cool toned skin. It has a slightly rosy tone to it. Could definitely be rosier and then it would be perfection. But as it is, it’s pretty darn good! And I love the formula. It’s very creamy. Very pigmented - only takes a small amount. But blends out SO easy and melts into the skin. And it sets on its own and lasts all day without me needing to set it with a powder at all! I’ve been really impressed with it! It’s the main one I used all summer and now. And I really struggle finding bronzers that work for me (mostly due to shade though).

Same! I’ve tried at least a dozen palettes and they all pretty much suck! To the person who asked which ones, I’ve gotten rid of most of them, but still have the Aristocats palette (the Duchess highlighter I do actually use) and Beautiful Darkness; and I specifically remember a couple of the Reloadeds, and Rose Gold Chocolate that I hated. 😔

The 18 pan metal tin palettes are good, the 15 pan and smaller plastic palettes are pretty sucky. At least in my experience.

This is so funny to me because I’ve bought several of their products as far as eyeshadows and haven’t had any issues. I think people also forget they’re like a lower end mid priced. It’s like a step up from drug store so it’s not going to be ABH pigmented. For the price I personally can’t complain because I can’t afford higher mid priced products.

Another thing is, price-quality aside, that many people forget high pigmentation is not an actual requirement for makeup nor a quality indicator. Not everyone likes pigmented stuff and some prefer a formula that keeps things on the less bold side or lets you buildup (just look at most asian products. Many euroamerican people think they are “bad” products because they are “not pigmented enough” but that’s actually how they are designed to perform).

I love the look of Asian makeup, I’m actually trying to pick a palette. Yes, they’re less pigmented and I love that. I’ve never done bold looks so this style fits me perfectly. Still, when I said the Revolution palette is not pigmented I meant that it’s dusty, patchy and that it takes a lot to get it out of the pan. When I finally managed to get it on my skin, the fallout was pretty bad.

I love brands like ELF, ColourPop, and NYX which at a tiny bit more expensive but some of the Revolution 9 pans are about 9$. ELF 10 pans are 10$ and the bite size 4 pans are 3$. So I’d call them similar.

I’ve wanted to love some of the Revolution pallets or at least like them! For me they leave so much fallout it’s insane if it actually is pigmented. Other shades I feel like I’m grinding into my brush just to roughly sweep on my lids like a preschooler to get any color.

I had one of their UD Naked palette dupes 7 years back and I really liked it! Enough that I went looking for it a few years ago and was disappointed when I couldn’t find it. I had a coworker ask me if I was wearing Modern Renaissance when I had it on lol.

It was a pretty good palette for a beginner. All nudes/pinks and a mix of mattes/shimmers. I def had to use eyeshadow primer, but it blended well. Wouldn’t rebuy it now that I’ve tried better (and more expensive) formulas, but for someone who’d only had experience with drugstore formulas and random free Lancôme / Estée Lauder palettes from my mom, it was good.

Their lipliners are THE WORST I have ever used. They are soooo dry, so waxyyy, I literally hurt my lips trying to line them 😭

But I do enjoy their lipsticks, and some of their shadow palettes can be decent but still a huge hit or miss brand.

I’m not a huge fan of Makeup Revolution either. Their eyeliner smears and leaves me like a raccoon so fast. However, I do like the IRL Soft Focus 2 in 1 Translucent powder. It’s really fine and nice for under eyes.

dang, i love the IRL filter line of products & their base fix setting spray and the pink aerosol setting spray were my faves! and their pro foundation sticks are great too! idk if i just lucked out and caught them in an upswing bc i can no longer find the pink aerosol spray or the foundation sticks.

The only thing I’ve tried from them is a concealer and I actually really enjoyed it! Gave me perfect skin texture and coverage was amazing and lasted all day. Back then I really wanted their chocolate palettes but never got the chance to. Seeing all these comments made me feel glad I never got one:))

I have a Revolution palette (black/gray colour book) and it’s quite patchy and doesn’t last very long. However I have another palette by them (some kind of coffee themed one) and the eyeshadows are SO pigmented and blend super well… I feel like it’s a brand that’s hard to generalise as their products are either hit or miss for me.

I had the Revolution palette and it was very grainy and hard to get pigmentation to come out , I have to scratch with the end of the brush to get something and even then it’ll just fall to my cheeks!! OMG

I bought their waterproof Big Lash mascara and it’s the only thing I’ve ever bought from them. It actually looks great, but it is NOT waterproof by the longest shot!
