Affordable no makeup makeup suggestions please! I’ve always done a natural look but looking to branch out in what products I use (combo skin with mild rosacea)

Dr jarts color correcting line is great for redness. I use the cicapair with sunscreen. It looks green which neutralizes redness. I add a light powder over top to not look too shiny. I have rosy cheeks 99 percent of the time so I can vouch for some redness cover up. I also really love tarte Amazonian clay tinted moisturizer. That one is a staple. I’m not sure what is considered affordable to you but each of these are under 40. The smaller dr jart that’s trial size has a good amount to last a while and is cheaper for a trial run to see if you like it.

I’ve been looking into the cicapair cream. How does it feel on the skin? I was a little worried about it feeling cakey/chalky or thick

There are 2 kinds, one is like a spot corrector while the other one (the better IMO) is the one with sunscreen. It does not feel carry or chalky at all, the only downside is its shiny from being sunscreen which is why I add a layer of light powder over it to make it a little more matte. The shine/glow is great when toned down a tiny bit by some powder and setting spray if you want a glowy natural look.

I second any cream blush (i like the rate beauty one personally) but it’s so easy to blend into your skin so it looks more natural than powder blush! I also use a contour stick in the crease of my eyelid.

I just grabbed the Lip Jelly today! It really is “my lips but better” and it’s not sticky!

I just started used the almay clear complex foundation, and it’s the BEST foundation I’ve ever used! Light coverage with a perfect, skin-like finish. When I blended it out it practically disappeared right into my skin

Also, I’ve heard adapalene gel can be used to treat rosacea (if you use it correctly), so perhaps it’ll help with that

I just wanted to throw this out there because it’s one of my most used non-obvious steps. I use my eyebrow pencil as an eyeliner. I love the NYX eyebrow pencils with the formula made in South Korea and basically just warm the product up slightly right on my upper lash line by holding it on my skin and doing small sweeps back and forward. It doesn’t take long before I could start applying the product like a normal eyeliner while concentrating on the outer their of my upper lash line, and just defining the from the outer part of my lower lash line only to directly under my pupils. These products last well because they have a higher wax to pigment ratio and usually define my lash line while looking more like a shadow or just more dense hairs. You could also go more intense with the look my applying extra product as a thicker line and smoking it out with a brush slightly. It’s very useful to have a product that can go from natural to more intense, and you can use it on your eyebrows if you clean it between uses.

I also like to use waterproof liquid eyeliner in dark brown or black as a mascara. I basically want to add color to the outer third of my eyelashes that seem to be invisible without any product on them. I find regular mascaras to be prone to clumping or very noticeable, while a waterproof liquid eyeliner can be swiped through your lashes to tint them and reclaim their whole length without being obvious at all. It’s nice to have a spoolie handy to comb through your lashes if you go a little ham with the product, but you could even use your eyebrow pencil spoolie if you’re traveling and in a pinch.

The combination of these 2 products makes my lashes look so dense, defined, and very long without looking like I have any makeup on.

In the same vein, using a bronzer or contour to swipe the crease of your eye for “eyeshadow” is my hack. And highlight as eyeshadow, using a lip stain and gloss instead of touching up lipstick all day, etc.

And there’s a lot of “high maintenance to be low maintenance” hacks that also work as “no makeup makeup” - getting an eyelash tint instead of mascara, tinting your brows, spending more on skincare to avoid using as much foundation

I do use an expensive powder foundation and mascara, but on workdays, the rest of my routine is an Ulta brand eyeshadow stick, Revolution blush, and Cover Girl Outlast lipstick (in Universal Nude, which is a perfect natural color).

Hourglass Veil Retouching Fluid - it’s sheer coverage but I swear it works better than some of the fuller coverage products I’ve used. And it’s the product that’s the most resistant to under eye creasing that I’ve ever used! Not immune but I have to be wearing it for a LONG time and sweat for it to crease badly.

The best application tool, even better than fingers, to get a natural finish is imo the Sigma 3DHD Max Kabuki, I’ve recommended it to several friends and family and they always love it.

I often use L’Oréal Lumi Glotion as a base either mixed with tinted moisturizer or DE D-Bronzi, or by itself. It does not make your face look like a disco ball, just giving a boost of radiance. Revlon Face Gloss is great too, if you don’t mind a rose scent.

I’ll use a deep brown eyeliner, tightlining if I want to keep it really natural looking.

Also I recently discovered Makeup By Mario and their skin tint compact is amazing. It gives just the slightest bronzing effect and you’d never know it was makeup. It’s close to perfect.

L’Oreal True Match nude serum. You can wear it very sheer or build to heavy medium coverage. Makes my skin look stunning. A good burgundy or brown (not black, really brown) mascara. Gives you extra definition but not LASHES iykwim. A red blush. I swear I’m not crazy, but a red blush looks like you’re flushed instead of ‘wearing blush’…even with the rosacea. A green color correcting base, I like the Hero one. A little goes a long way but really tones down my red cheeks.

I have used the Burts bees red dahlia and agree, it’s good! I need to try the angel veil primer. I’ve heard nothing but good things
