I like Elf’s liquid halo glow! I used to ADORE becca’s highlight but I think it’s discontinued. I apply powder highlight on the top of my cheekbone, where light normally hits (and sometimes the center of my eyelid, browbone, and/or tip of my nose.

I personally think liquid highlighters look more “natural” and I’ll actually mix halo glow into my foundation for a “dewy” look, or apply a swipe across my cheek and blend it in.

My all time favourite highlighter is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. It’s great because it doesn’t have a base that creates a dark cast in different angles like other highlighters do. Depending on your skintone you might need a different shade. But I would recommend that you see them in store and swatch them because I also have a different shade named Lightscapade and I don’t like it that much. The finish is different and it’s also whiter. I have gone through Soft and Gentle 3 times even though it lasts about a year with everyday use and I keep buying it.

I use Maybelline Strobing Light stick, I rub a brush on the stick and apply it to my cheekbones, bridge of nose and tip of nose, very top of my cupids bow. I like a stick over a powder because it melds into my skin right away and looks more natural on me. If it’s a special occasion I’ll just apply a bit more of it, and I’ll add some under the arch of my brows and the inner corner of my eyes to amp up my eye makeup a bit. Basically the high points of the face that naturally catch light that you want to draw more attention to.

I really like rare beauty liquid highlighters; I have it in Transcend. I usually mix it with my liquid blush and then apply to my cheekbones; gives such a gorgeous subtle glow.
