Hello, Do you remove your makeup before a workout? I work for a university that offers a great deal on their fitness facilities. I don’t workout before work but after with my makeup still on. I do bring makeup wipes that I use to remove my makeup but I am wondering if it’s even needed.

When I go after work, no. The sinks don’t have warm water just cold water. I don’t get acne from working out and sweating with makeup on.

its best if you remove your make up before exercising because the make up blocks your pores and does not allow sweat (which carries a lot of toxins out of your body) to escape the skin barrier. This may cause you to break out eventually.

You don’t lose any significant amount of toxins in your sweat. Your liver/kidneys funnel all that stuff to your bladder.

I don’t remove my make up. I usually shower and cleanse within 1-2 hours after my workout though. I also don’t wear heavy makeup up

I work out with makeup on. I used to be so conscious about looking like I was vain lol. I would make a point to remove makeup while exercising, but I didn’t have time one day, and really enjoyed feeling pretty the whole work out session haha.

Not taking my makeup off before working out made me breakout like crazy. And it took weeks for the acne to go away. If it doesn’t make you breakout, I think it’s fine tho. It’s definitely more convenient not to.

When I did gym during my work lunch break, I took off everything except eye & brow make up.

Then 20min workout, 5min shower, 10mins get dressed and reapply foundation/concealer/bronzer.

I’m one of those people that has to wear makeup even if I’m staying home all day. So I put it on for the gym. I know, I’m crazy. I have to workout in the pool because of health stuff, so it’s a good way to test whether or not the makeup is actually waterproof
