Try peel of stains
A much subtle shine and only on the nice spots like cheekbones, nose, brow bones, chin which makes the face look angular.
No shine on the hollow under eyes or corners. That looks like oil and sweat. We need skin to look smooth polished
Go to a store and swatch it on the back or your hand

It’s a grey brown shade which I bought by mistake and I don’t like it but it matches your description perfectly
The second swatch in this pic
Conceal your dark circles first. It makes a a big difference. Use a blush close to your skin tone. Blush is supposed to add pink in your own skin tone, not make you lighter or darker. Put some on your nose, and your natural blush areas, it will look more natural
You have to do what works for YOUR face. We all have different spots, different product formulas, and different applicators. There’s no right or wrong way. Look in the mirror and your skin concerns and figure out what look you are trying to achieve then try accordingly.
For example if your whole face is uneven but you don’t have any obvious pigmentation, you will probably want a sheer tint all over.
For me, I have mostly smooth skin, except for specific parts that need full coverage
I only wear foundation to cover up my splotchy hyperpigmentation. I absolutely hate foundation, it makes my face look painted. If I had good even toned skin, I would NEVER wear that
Your blush colour should simply be a lighter shade of your actual lips. It can never go wrong
Get rid of your full length mirror. Get that small makeup mirror instead. Trust me it will give you so much mental peace
It’s possible you have hypothyroidism. You should get it checked. There’s no point in punishing yourself if it’s a fixable medical issue
I tried Etude house. For me it unevenly dyes the lips but a lot of people liked it. I have wonderskin on my wishlist but haven’t tried it yet. They solve the problem you stated as they feel like nothing. Just watery dye that’s wiped off, but then again it’s mostly vibrant colors, perhaps the formulation of the product makes it difficult to make muted colors, I find myself dabbing brown matte nude on top to mute it. But still it’s less product overall than heavy balmy lipsticks
