I’m looking for a good face powder.
Im not talking about like a finishing powder but more so one that matches skin color. I feel like recently brands have leaned more towards selling foundation. I know tarte has been getting some hate recently, but you can’t deny that they had the best powder ever back in like 2018, but they don’t sell it anymore. Also I don’t use fenty for some reason it doesn’t work for me unfortunately.
Anyone know any good brands?
Laura Geller
Dew you loose powder by toofaced, I LOVE the natural and dewy finish it gives! Airspun is also a popular loose powder, it gives a slightly matte finish. For pressed powders, I highly recommend physician’s formula
Makeup Forever’s powder foundation is fantastic. The Sephora girl sold me on it when I asked for something sheer and matte, she was wearing it herself and it looked really nice on her. They formulate their makeup to film and photograph well so it doesn’t look like ‘makeup’ at 4k or on a theater screen. Looks really good. It’s medium coverage but I apply it sheerly.
I just got the one size powder (the one in the red packaging) and it’s phenomenal!
Chanel is my go to everyday powder cos I don’t wear foundation.
If I’m wearing foundation, Cle de Peau or Suqqu cos they compliment foundation.
Bésame Silver Screen Shimmer 1955 is the perfect sheer setting powder for my fair, dry skin! And it’s sold in beautiful refillable compacts, which I love for environmental reasons.
Color FX is the only one I have found that doesn’t break me out! I used to love Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder but they changed it a few years ago :(
Huda beauty is amazing
I used to love the Lily Lolo mineral foundation. Nowadays I’m too dry to still pull it off.
I LOVE ♥️♥️ Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Gem Loose Foundation. Also Bare Minerals matte powder foundation is good for my oily skin.
I swear by Laura Mercier translucent powder. I’ve used it for quite a few years now and it doesn’t give off any tints, cakeiness and holds the shine back quite well. Also, it looks fine in photos.
