Try a lip primer before lipstick! I don’t use them all the time but I find that the MAC prep and prime one works well to blur your lip lines before lipstick, plus it’s nourishing on the lips without being too balmy or overly moisturizing, it’s so good and perfect to use before lip product. Colourpop makes an affordable one that I haven’t tried but as someone with fucked up lip lines from acne scarring and very dry lips, I love lip primers when I need some extra love before lipstick and lip liner!

  • Physicians Formula waterproof lash booster liquid eyeliner (with the little tear droplets on it) is my absolute favorite. The regular version is good too but not as black, plus I can tightline with the waterproof one and it doesn’t go anywhere! I’ve tried the NYX a couple times and it’s a close second, though I still don’t like it as much as the PF. Third choice would be Wet N Wild breakup proof but I find these ones run dry much faster!

I’ve been doing winged liner almost every day for 13 years, I’ve tested many liners drugstore and high end, and just keep going back to this one.

  • I use more natural looking styles with thin bands, like the Ardell Demi wispies or the Kiss Shy lashes. Those are my two faves and I’ve tried a bunch of them, but I cannot do any lashes with a giant thick band! I tried recently and couldn’t get the inner corners to stick at all.

I started practicing wearing lashes during the pandemic and it wasn’t long before I could get it down pretty well, so definitely just keep trying! What I did at first was, at night or whenever I knew I wasn’t going anywhere, I’d take a pair to practice with and just glue them on, take them off, and repeat a couple times. Not too much though or you could get your lashes covered in glue.

Also, I sometimes still struggle with getting my inner corners to stick. I make sure to trim my lashes so there’s nothing stabbing the inside of my eye, lay down the center of the band, then do the inner corner to make sure it sticks and then press down the outer corner. I still mess up sometimes if I’m in a rush, so definitely just take your time and practice makes perfect ❤️ good luck lovely!

  • Almay. I tried a couple things in middle school and even when I had no makeup experience back then, I hated them. The eyeliner didn’t stay in my waterline and the mascara smudged everywhere underneath my bottom lashes (I didn’t put any there) it literally came from my top lashes.

I never see people shop Almay at the drugstore, like the other displays will be disastrous but Almay’s is organized and clean and fully stocked. I’ve always wondered how they’re still afloat, everything is beyond boring and I’d like to see them rebrand or try to be innovative, something. I just checked their products and it still looks almost exactly like it has over the last 12 years I’ve been buying and wearing makeup.

Physician’s Formula Waterproof Eye Booster in blackest black is the only one I’ll buy. Didn’t like the NYX as much, it dried out so fast and I tried it twice over the years. I think the Wet N Wild breakup proof/grief proof (snoopy one) is close but still not as good as my PF, I also felt those dried out pretty fast. Like within a week.

The regular black liquid liner from PF is good too but the waterproof version stays put even longer and is much more black! I have tried so many eyeliners but always come back to this one. In my opinion, as someone who has worn winged liner for the last 12 years, it’s the best drugstore liner and even better than some of the ones at Sephora I’ve tried! I go through them too often to buy expensive liners anyways.

I agree with whoever said Maybelline Sky High or Lash Sensational. I loved Lash Sensational for years and still use it all the time, it’s a great dupe for benefit roller lash. but I love Sky High too for over my lashes or on my bottom lashes!

I like more colorful eyeshadow now but for quite a few years, it was always a neutral brown sparkly eye or some variation of sparkly purple. Purple is my favorite colorful shadow on myself because it brings out the green in my eyes and makes them look really pretty! Always wear black winged liner, which has been my signature for the past 12 years. Then I add natural looking lashes, medium coverage dewy or natural finish foundation, peachy under eye corrector for my dark circles, medium coverage concealer over that, bronzer and a glowy peachy/pink cheek! Sometimes I do purple to match but love corals and peaches on myself when it comes to blush.

I also love midtoned brown lips, I just don’t like when my nude lipstick is too pink or peachy so I prefer true browns on my fair neutral skintone! I don’t use powder, unless my t zone is looking a little too shiny, so powder only around my forehead if necessary. I don’t usually set my under eye concealer because I have dry skin, only once in a while. I feel like it looks better without though, but would definitely use powder if I had more oily or combo skin!
